So the first wave of our coverage for the closing down of BEFORE WATCHMEN is up today. And it seems I’ve kicked the lid off of something worthwhile and reasonable—how postwar America must have looked like, felt like a High Renaissance Europe. What with the same kinds of cultural compromise going on at Europe in that time, the metaphor isn’t a bad one for America just prior to the Cold War.
